Empowerment Training Program

This empowerment training program is designed to effectively prevent incidents of harassment and violence against women and girls. By empowering women and girls to be capable of their own safety, it aims to reduce crimes such as harassment, sexual assault, and theft, where the perpetrator targets individuals they perceive as physically weaker. Equipping women and girls with self-defense skills not only enables them to protect themselves but also educates children in self-protection techniques. Developed in consultation with experts including self-defense trainers, legal advisors, women and child safety organizations, the Uttar Pradesh Police, and educational authorities, this program offers a comprehensive curriculum over six days. Trainers will provide residential training to all game instructors, who will then impart self-defense training to girls in their respective schools.

The training modules cover essential activities related to self-defense, discussions, audio-visual materials, games, helpline numbers for necessary legal assistance, participant evaluations, and various case studies. With guidance provided at the end of each session, trained instructors will deliver self-defense training to girls in their schools using the assistance of all trained modules. This program is structured to ensure the continuity of education for girls who do not attend school due to safety concerns.
